My Unforgettable Moment

Hello bloggers, welcome back to a new entry. Today I would like to tell you about my unforgettable moment. Well technically I don't have an unforgettable moment. But I do have one that has a lot of meaning to me. It was my 10th birthday. It was on the 24th February 2012. My mom threw me a party at Holiday Inn. It was a big party. Some of my families were there, my friends were there, even my teachers were there. What makes it very precious to me is that my mom really did all that hard work, just to celebrate one little boy, and he was just 10 years old. I didn't expect to be having a party on my birthday, but my mom threw a big one instead. In an expensive hotel with a budget that big, I really wan't expecting that from my mom. She invited almost everyone from my school, and she even invited the whole family, including the ones I didn't know.

It was such a fancy party, there were blessing, mini games with prizes, and more. I had to wear a tuxedo for it cause it was such a big and fancy party. But it was great, my mom wore kebaya and I get along as father and son with a suit on with my dad haha. What makes it funny is that I had to sit with my parents and shake hands to the people that lined up to shake hands with us. It's funny cause usually people do that on weddings and instead they did it on a birthday boy. Even my friends and teachers had to shake my hands haha.

We took pictures with the other families and even took pictures with my friends and teachers. When it was time to blow out the candles, I made a wish that I would become the greatest guitar player that anyone has ever seen, and that I wanted to do good things to others and even so I want to be a good son to my parents, a good person to the people around me, and a good friend to all my friends and anyone who'll stumble upon me.

I blew out the candles and everybody cheered. But it wasn't over until my mom surprised me by gifting me a car. But obviously I couldn't ride it, not until I'm 17 that is.

It was really fun, it was the best birthday party anyone has ever thrown for me. And maybe that includes an unforgettable moment right? So maybe that's my unforgettable moment.

Okay bloggers, that's all I have to type for today, thanks for reading and stay tune for more entry.

Megantara

Hello fellow bloggers, I'm back with another story to tell you, and that story is about Megantara. So last saturday, school had an event called Megantara, it's basically a culture festival so there were lots of stuff from other province  of Indonesia. Other than that there were food trucks selling foods and drinks and they were all very satisfying. Unlike some of my friends, I'm not part of the event's committee so I was just another visitor like everyone else.
So the event opened gate at 9 AM, and there weren't that many visitors on that time. For three SHS students, we kicked of the event early in the morning. Well, not all students did it, but before the event even started we had a parade by walking around from Lapbal to the city hall, and back there. It last for about an hour and some students really found it not really important, but then again it was to promote the event to the people of Bandung.
The event started and again it wasn't that much crowded since it was so early in the morning. I went inside at first with my friend Sabina, but of course because she's a lady, she took off to find her ''boyfriend''. Luckily I was able to find my other friends, they were the event's committee and one of them was "guarding" a food truck. Well at least I was't THAT lonely.
As the day goes by and the event was getting hotter, a lot of visitors actually visited the event. It was much more than I was expecting as a matter of fact. Well, when the others were so busy doing their jobs, I finally met my "best friend" and she's a girl. We sorta had fun but we were separated a lot of times, but we had fun.
The real fun was at night. The event was so crowded, and it got more crowded when our mayor, Ridwan Kamil, came to give a speech. After our mayor gave his speech the event performed a wayang show, it was really satisfying and very funny, I literally laughed until my stomach hurt.
After the wayang show, T'sti, or Tiloe's Theater, performed their act on stage. It was about the disappearance of our culture caused by technology these days. The crowd went wild cause it was so fun to watch.
Finally, the top of the event. The Changchuters literally made the crowds scream their hearts out. They were so awesome, the crowds literally went nuts that time including me.
Unfortunately, I had to went go home early cause I was really tired. The benefit was I could sleep like a baby knowing that I had fun, the down side was I couldn't get to watch RAN perform. But on top of that, it was really fun, I had fun, my friends had fun, and it was a hell of an experience for me.

WTTF (World Tournament and Technofest)

On Saturday, our school had a competition called WTTF or The World Tournament Techno Fest. Because it was so early in the morning, I had to woke up at 5:30 on a Saturday. It was a brag, but I was curious about it, and I had PE exam anyway so I was forced to go there. The exam was we had to run around Lapang Bali for about 12 minutes tops, and we have to run 16 laps to get a perfect score. I ran for about 8 1/4 laps, I didn't even make it to lap 9 because the time was up and I was extremely exhausted. But, at least I got 75 and that's above the passing grade.

After the exam we started the event. We pray at first so that the event could proceed well, then the seniors did the introductions, then we started the event. This event was participated by all class of 2019 and 2018. Though there were also some seniors but they were the ones who arranged the event. At first we were divided into a pair of groups, with one group containing one class from 2019 and class from 2018. We were accompanied by two seniors, one was very funny and couldn't speak english, and the other one was very intelligent in speaking english. This event was about practicing our english, so we had to speak english all the time during the event. At first, me, my class, and the eleventh graders were told to walk to Taman Tongkeng, witch is one of Bandung's mini park. It was a long way walk, it took about ten to twenty minutes from Lapang Bali, it was tiring, but given the chance to walk together among friends was pretty fun and exciting and it wasn't boring.

When we arrived at Taman Tongkeng, a few seniors were already waiting for us there. They gave us two water balloons with a very interesting instructions. If we see some 'Aliens' walking among us, we have to throw the balloons at them. If we manage to hit the aliens, then we get a point. Well technically they weren't really aliens obviously, they were lovely seniors with raincoats. The task that we did at Taman Lengkong was we had to build a 'robot' from junks, so we were basically reusing them. We did a great job building the robot, although we've lost because the eleventh grader's robot was the coolest one of all, but it was ok cause we got them sweating on the next task. After a few tasks done, we returned to school to accomplish some tasks there. First we were told to watch a movie, then we played games, ate spicy noodles, and soaked some aliens. After completing the tasks at school, we returned to Lapang Bali to accomplish some more task.

Basically after completing a task, we get a puzzle piece, and that puzzle piece will be connect to another puzzle pieces and form a giant picture. And well, after hours of completing tasks, defeating aliens, and solved puzzles, we finally made it to the cliffhanger of the event, all of 3 students gathered to complete the event's giant puzzle, and finally with sweat and hard work, we finally complete the giant puzzle within minutes.

With a big heart, and some smiling faces, all of us gathered and cheer our school with pride, as one citizen, and as one family. Then we all went home with pride on our side.

It was tiring because the event went til half a day, but it was worth it to share those experience with others.
